I am Terrie, a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, Hypnobirthing Educator and certified IEMT Practitioner.
My work is shaped by my lived experience. I’ve spent years working in women’s health as a registered nurse and midwife, supporting women, and men, through some of the most physically and emotionally vulnerable times of their lives. I also built a career in a high-demand, high-pressure sales environment, predominantly surrounded by men.
Like many women, I learned how to function, perform, and keep turning up!
It’s made me feel that often women’s experiences are over-medicalised, minimised, or misunderstood, particularly in systems not designed with women at the centre. It also deepened my curiosity about the role of the mind, nervous system, and emotional load in making symptoms feel heavier, louder, and harder to carry, and this equally applies to men and women
I’m especially interested in:
• how stress and emotional pressure amplify physical symptoms
• how many of us learn to ignore our own needs, putting others first
• how identity, responsibility, and expectation affect well-being
• how the mind can either worsen symptoms, or become part of healing
We are often conditioned to cope, endure, and keep going, to prioritise everyone else while quietly carrying pain, exhaustion, or emotional overwhelm. Hypnotherapy offers a powerful, gentle way to interrupt those patterns, calm the nervous system, and create space for real change.
My approach is compassionate, practical, and grounded. We often don’t need fixing, but need to reconnect with ourselves, feel safer in our bodies, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
I am passionate about personal development and learning, I’m committed to continued professional development in addition to regularly undertaking clinical supervision throughout my practice. As an accredited member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) and the Association for IEMT practitioners. I abide by their code of conduct and ethics.
