Hypnotherapy

Could Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Help You?

Do you feel stuck in anxiety, stress, low mood, or overwhelm, despite trying to “think positively”?

Is poor sleep leaving you foggy, irritable, or struggling to cope day to day?

Are menopause symptoms affecting your confidence, clarity, or sense of self?

Do digital overload, unhelpful habits, phobias, pain, or food-related worries feel harder to manage than they should?

Would you like support that focuses on where you want to be, rather than repeatedly analysing what’s gone wrong?

What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a modern, evidence-based approach that combines solution-focused talking therapy with clinical hypnosis to help reduce anxiety, stress, low mood, and overwhelm.

Rather than digging into the past or analysing problems in detail, it focuses on where you are now and how you want to feel instead — and then helps your brain learn calmer, healthier patterns.

The list below is not exhaustive, hypnotherapy can help with many other problems, drop me a line to dicsuss more:

Anxiety and Depression

Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy, can help you tap into a calmer, more relaxed state of mind where your brain can actually think clearly. In that space, your mind starts looking for the good stuff: positive actions, interactions and thoughts. And when that happens, your brain naturally boosts those feel-good chemicals and begins creating new, healthier pathways that make you more resilient to stress, anxiety and low mood.

Sleep Issues

Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is effective in managing sleep issues by reducing stress, reshaping negative thought patterns, and establishing a calm, restful mindset,  conducive to improved sleep. Sleep is not just about having more energy the next day; it is also pivotal in organising and filing thoughts, so we wake refreshed with clarity to face the next day. Sleep is so important; just getting on top of this part of our lives can make such a difference to how we feel

Menopause

Menopause hits some of us like a lead balloon, completely changing the way we act and feel. It can bring with it anxiety or make existing anxiety feel even worse. Brain fog and lack of clarity can make you feel older than you are. Menopause is not just a hormonal condition, but one that affects your whole sense of self, your confidence, your relationships, your work, and how you move through the world each day.

You’re not “imagining it,” and you’re not failing to cope. These changes are real, common, and often misunderstood. With the right support, understanding, and tools, it is possible to feel like yourself again, clearer, calmer, and more in control of your body and mind.

Digital Overload

Screen and social media overuse is linked to: higher anxiety and stress, low mood or depression, difficulty falling asleep, and lighter, less restorative sleep. Seeing curated highlights of other people’s lives can quietly chip away at self-esteem and create a sense of “I’m not enough”, even when life is actually going okay. Solution focused hypnotherapy can help redress this helping you to feel like you again.

Phobias

Phobias can be due to a traumatic experience, e.g., being bitten by a dog or a learnt behaviour, e.g., having a parent who is scared of flying. The brain believes whatever it is told. In Hypnotherapy we can challenge this, changing neural pathways building a new normal where the phobia no longer exists

Pain Management

Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy can help manage chronic pain by reducing anxiety, stress, and physical symptoms, which can improve overall well-being. It can also enhance confidence, self-esteem, and sleep quality, making it easier to cope with the impact of long-term pain. By fostering a greater sense of control, it supports clients in managing medication side effects, physiotherapy, and other treatments more effectively, enabling a higher quality of life.

Weight Management

Rather than focusing on what’s gone wrong in the past, we look at practical, positive ways forward. This approach can help ease anxiety around food, quiet unhelpful habits, and support you in feeling more in control again. Together, we work towards a healthier, more balanced relationship with eating — one that feels sustainable, realistic, and right for you.

The aim isn’t quick fixes or restriction, but lasting change over time, so you can move forward with greater confidence and ease around food.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of complete relaxation that allows your subconscious mind to focus on your positive thoughts enabling you to move forward in life. We do this all the time, when we are watching television, driving the car, jogging in the park.

What will happen at the Initial Consultation?

A chance to talk about what you want to achieve from hypnotherapy.

We can also discuss why you are feeling the way you do and explore ways to help by understanding how your brain works and how we can utilise this knowledge to promote positive change in your feelings and behaviour. This is not a commitment to subsequent sessions, just a chance to see if this is something you would like to do.

What happens after the Initial Consultation?

We can start the subsequent sessions.

They are around 50 minutes long where we firstly engage in positive discussion/ talking therapy to support you to move forward.

Then we will use Hypnosis/ A natural state of relaxation to consolidate your positive thoughts and actions to find solutions and absorb positive suggestions.

Face to Face or Online?

Sessions can be held online or face-to-face, whichever is preferable to you. Both are equally effective.
